10/16/04-New ingrediant added for aquarium version of rocks
Even though aragocrete/oystercrete is thousands of times more porous that natural rocks and not no where near as heavy as the next closest type of live rock(the florida aquacultured) they are still fairly heavy for aquarium use.

Had a rather large set of thunderstorms blow thru the area over the past few days, so this gives us our first chance to see how our rocks weathered thru the rough sea’s.

04/15/04 Added 50+ Aragocrete/Oystercrete Rocks to Reef for testing
Just came back from offshore reef that belongs to a friend of mine. We hand placed a little over 50 pcs of aragocrete/oystercrete for a visual watch and testing the longterm growth rates of organisms, algae’s, crustaceans, fish life and anything else that occurs.

Aragocrete/Oystercrete Test 03/30/04
Finally after testing over 40 different recipies finally came up with a recipie that after being cured correctly holds it shape, retains great strength and has plenty of surface area and voids to encourage massive amounts of micro and macro algae growths.
