OysterCrete's primary benefits are economics and environmental. With the decline of natural oyster reefs it has become increasingly important for us the end consumer and ultimate cause of the depletion to come up with an acceptable program for sustaining and rebuilding such reef's for both consumers and nature itself.

Environmentally Acceptable;

Unlike a lot of practices of just shell dumping or placing various artificial materials into the water that may or may not have been adequatly researched or dumping of products that are known to be unsafe, OysterCrete is 100% Organic material that is simply arranged in such a way to provide both beneficial shape and substrate for oyster skat attachment and also still provide a sustainable and harvestable oyster bed or growout area.

With the end product being primarily 90% natural oyster shell and sand, there is close to zero impact of un-natural products being introduced.

With the added benefit of actually harboring additional crustaceans as well as inducing aquatic predators to utilize the area's as a food source oystercrete will also be working as a sustainable fishing reef bringing in predators such as croakers, trout, speckled trout, red drum and black drum just to name a few. Add on top of this that specific designs of oystercrete can also create and sustain a natural bedding and feeding area for local blue crabs wich is also in need of some help in these current years.

Economically Sound;

Oystercrete/Aragocrete utilizing our recipie has such a low economical impact, that it is in effect around an average of 50% lower in cost to make, purchase, install or setup than any other similar project in existance today, even including bringing in barge loads of shells for on site dumping.

How can this be?

Its really easy, by utilizing products and sources that are already locally available and are available thruout most coastal states in the U.S. and by creating and adapting the reef structures as dictated by nature and the natural state of the current or pre-existing reef area's instead of what we as people may think of as a better habitat.

We have to force ourselve's to not try to overthink mother nature.

If we provide the habitat just as nature created it or extremely similar then nature will in turn prevail and return things as they naturally were before human intervention.

Plus with OysterCrete brand of rocks, you have the option using the same recipie for rocks but being able to utilize it in various locations, currents and formats.
